The 3 month-long journey with Amal Academy has left with me a lot of memories. thinking back I still remember I was a bit nervous before starting this fellowship, I was worried about how many people I have to meet and interact with, will I be able to complete my journey till the end? Will I be able to make a first good impression? Will I be able to gather the courage to come in front and talk to them? How would I be able to manage my PWs? I had so many questions on my mind but when I actually started the fellowship all the fellows were just so nice to everyone. They had a thrust for helping others and our Program Manager and Program Associate motivated everyone fellow to guide and help each other.

In the first week, I remember the online course about ‘Knowing yourself” it was a great course that enlighted my way of thinking and I actually started thinking about myself and my future goals. What planning I must to do to achieve my goals. It was a great first expression I had of Amal Academy and was very excited for the session to come and meet other fellows.

I can definitely say that Amal Academy proved to be a new dawn in my career life. I had learned a lot of skills that I lacked such as coordination, interpersonal, public speaking, and time management. The memories I made with Amal will stay with me forever. The one thing I’ll regret is not meeting in-person with all of my fellows. I am very thankful to my Program Manager Maam Zeest Qureshi, Program Associate Maam Iqra Zaheer and my Amal fellows who helped me down the road.
